Consume as a one-month course of treatment, starting with half a teaspoon, then adjusting the dose as you feel and need it. Add to hot drinks, lattes or infusions, or sprinkle over meals. Its slightly bitter taste requires careful blending.
After a month's treatment, it's recommended to take a break for a month before starting again, if desired, until a feeling of balance is restored. It can also be used on an occasional basis when the need arises.
Side effects or interactions :
Considered an adaptogen, Ashwagandha has no known side effects when taken in recommended doses. It can, however, increase thyroid hormones and is therefore not recommended in cases of hyperthyroidism. Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
